Welcome to my blog. My name is Sonia Berisford-Murray but wish it was Jane Smith for the simple reason that I have worn down my fingerprints from having to type that out 10 times a day. Anyway. I started an organisation called I Am Changing the World in 2008 and thought (with all innocence) that in 3 months I would be up and running, funders breaking down my door to help me realise my vision, and of course actually changing the world. Um. No.

The reality was something a liiiittttlle bit different. Well if there was ever a test to my commitment and determination 2008 was it. Add in a global economic meltdown… my sanity ran for the first exit but my sense of humor dug in and I made it.

So now I’m supposed to write something about myself? Well here’s the short version:

Bottom line is I am never satisfied. My career has spanned jewelery assistant, animator, life coach, author, teacher, metaphysician, waiter, and a preferred-to-be-forgotten stint as a large stuffed animal lacking air-vents or parents to control their ghastly children included in the job description. One day I was visited with the soon to be persistent thought that the world could indeed be changed and I could possibly be one of the elements in making it happen. I soon sold my business, my love of fine things, my shoes and… here we are today. I would be no-where else.
